Welcome to Edinburgh City Ride. By booking a ride through our website, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions. Please read our terms & conditions carefully before booking a trip / journey with us.

  1. General
  • Edinburgh City Ride (“we”, “us”, “our”) provides private hire taxi and cab services in Edinburgh and surrounding areas.
  • By using our booking system, you confirm that all details provided are accurate and complete.
  • These Terms & Conditions apply to all bookings made via our website, phone, or email etc.
  • Booking trip with Edinburgh city ride means, passenger / customer is agreed with our terms & conditions.

 

  1. Bookings
  • All bookings must be made in advance through our website (WWW.Edinburghcityride.co.uk) or by contacting us directly via what’s app (00447771469964).
  • It is passenger’s responsibility to ensure that booking details such as date, time, passenger’s contact details, pickup, and drop-off addresses, are correct.
  • It is passenger’s responsibility to add any extra (pick-up and drop off) locations at the time of booking.
  • All journey must be paid in advance via bank.
  • Edinburgh city ride will confirm each booking with fix fare.
  • Bookings are non-transferable unless agreed by the Company.
  • We reserve the right to cancel or refuse bookings in case of incomplete information, inappropriate behaviour, or non-availability of vehicles.
  • Our private day trip will start 9AM and finish at 8PM. It will be 11 hours trip (include 1 hour lunch, coffee and smoking time).
  • Any flights cancel or delay, passengers must notify to the company, otherwise may extra cost.

 

  1. Fares & Payment
  • All fares are calculated based base price, mileage, time, waiting periods (5 minutes waiting time).
  • For airports pickup/ drop off. Customer have to payment £6 extra pick up and drop off £6 charges with total fare in advance. It may be change annually to incorporate factors like inflation and change market conditions.
  • Private Day trip will be charge £40 per hours including any parking fee and any others charges.
  • Any tolls, parking charges, or additional waiting time are not included in the initial fare and must be added to the final cost.
  • All Extra/additional waiting time will be charge .30 pence per minute and must be paid to the driver before start journey.
  • Quotations are estimates and may vary depending on route changes, traffic delays, or additional requirements
  • Payment must be made fully online by card, or approved account unless otherwise agreed.
  • All fares are quoted in GBP (£).

 

  1. Waiting Time & Delays
  • For airport pickups, free waiting time of 30 minutesare included after the flight landing time. Additional waiting time may be charged.
  • For airport pickups, driver will wait maximum 1 Hours after flight land, if passenger do not contact us, it will considered “no show” automatically which is non-refundable.
  • For all other pickups, free waiting time of 5 minutesis included. After this, extra charges may apply.
  • For all other pickup, driver will wait maximum 10 minutes.
  • It is passenger’s responsibility to notify to the driver, if additional waiting time required.
  • The Company is not liable for delays due to traffic, weather, or events beyond its reasonable control.

 

  1. Cancellations & Refunds
  • Cancellations made more than 24 hoursbefore the scheduled pickup time are fully refundable.
  • Cancellations made within 24 hoursof the scheduled pickup time may incur a full or partial charge.
  • No-shows (where the passenger is not present at the pickup location without prior cancellation) are non-refundable.
  • It will take to refund card payment 3 to 10 business working days.

 

  1. Passenger’s Responsibilities
  • Seat belts must be worn at all times in accordance with UK law.
  • Passengers must notify to the driver for any additional waiting time.
  • Any airport pickup, passenger must let to know their driver after landing flight via what’s app number or website.
  • Passengers are responsible for their own belongings. Edinburgh City Ride will not be liable for any lost or damaged items.
  • Eating, consume alcohol/drugs, smoking and vape is not permitted inside the vehicles.
  • All passengers must inform to the driver about any medical condition / disability that could affect during journey.
  • Any damage caused to the vehicle by the Passenger will be chargeable.

 

  1. Company Responsibilities
  • The Edinburgh City Ride must ensure that all drivers obey the Equality Act 2010 to carry disabled passengers and provide reasonable assistance, without any extra charge.
  • The Company will ensure that all vehicles and drivers are properly licensed and insured in accordance with local authority regulations.
  • Drivers will conduct themselves professionally and assist customers where reasonable.
  • The Company will take reasonable steps to ensure punctuality.
  1. Liability
  • We will take all reasonable measures to ensure you reach your destination safely and on time.
  • However, we shall not be liable for any direct or indirect loss, damage, or expenses caused by delays, missed flights, or unforeseen circumstances beyond our control.
  • Liability for any claim shall not exceed the cost of the journey.

 

  1. Privacy & Data Protection
  • All personal information provided during booking will be handled in accordance with UK Data Protection laws (GDPR).
  • We do not share your personal details with third parties except for the purpose of providing the service.

 

  1. Complaints
  • Any complaints should be made in writing at info@edinburghcityride.co.uk within 7 days.
  • The Company will investigate and respond within a reasonable timeframe.

 

  1. Governing Law
  • These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Scotland, United Kingdom.

Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Scotland.
